About Ginger

20 lb of pure love looking for forever home! Good with dogs, cats and older kids. Very quiet and gentle 14mo old girl who just wants to lay in your lap and get belly rubs. Vaccinated, spayed and house trained. While she had a rough start in life, she is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet! Born last fall near a busy road in Russia, she spent most of her short life there. Thanks to the efforts of local and US-based volunteers she is now safe and is in foster care in MA. As there was a lot of change in Ginger's life, she can be skittish around new people and in new surroundings at first. Her adoptive family would need to be patient and give this little girl time to get comfortable around them. Once she trusts you though, she will give you endless love and affection and ultimately becomes your shadow. We think a quieter home with dog-friendly cats and/ or dogs would be ideal for her. As she is pretty shy, having another dog she could follow during the walks and play with at home would be helpful in building her confidence. She could also be the only pet for someone who is at home a lot. Ginger is currently with the foster family where she lives with two cats and a small dog. She is being walked twice a day, no chewing furniture or peeing in the house (except for a couple of accidents during the first couple of days in the new place) and doesn't bark when left alone.
