Name: Snow Queen - In Foster in Rocky Mount, NC Sex: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed (long coat) Weight: 16 lbs Height: in Estimated Birthdate: 9/5/2016 Fence Needed: No Location: Foster Home in Rocky Mount, NC Adoption Fee:$349 Date into Rescue: 9/10/2019 Reason for being in rescue: Wake County Animal Center Special Needs: Snow Queen has hair loss on the back of her body from flea dermatitis. She is now on regular flea and tick preventative and her hair is growing back in. What kind of home would be best for me: Snow Queen is looking for a female-only home where she will be the only dog. She would be fine with cats. Snow Queen also needs a strong and patient owner. She cannot be pushed and takes time to warm up and trust. What is my personality like: Snow Queen has lived a very sheltered life. Her mom did the very best that she could for her dogs, but had issues bigger than herself and sadly had to give up her dogs. While Snow Queen has been sheltered, she has also been loved. Very loved. Snow Queen is a sweet girl. She loves to snuggle in a lap and gives the best kisses. She is living in a foster home with other dogs, but really wants to be the only princess. Snow Queen has not had much exposure to men and does bark at them. This will likely improve with socialization. Snow Queen is slow to warm up. If you push her she will growl and show teeth. If pushed too far she will bite. Snow Queen needs a patient home that will give her time to build trust and confidence that life will be okay. How do I act when I first meet new people: Friendly toward men. Snow Queen will bark at men and children out of fear. It is just noise. Tips and Tidbits: Snow Queen estimated birthday is 09/16/2016. House trained: Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
