Roscoe is a two year old lab/pit mix, according to the Chesterfield animal shelter where we got him a little over a year ago. He is a great dog with our grand and great grand children (ages 1 to 21) as well as my 96 year old mother who lives with us. He is neutered, chipped, licensed, and up to date on vaccinations and on heartworm preventative medication. Roscoe is house-trained, leash trained with a harness, sits and obeys other commands. He is friendly to strangers we bring on the property but not to strangers walking dogs. He interacts well with dogs at the vet and other places when leashed. We have over an acre of property completely fenced in with an electric driveway gate. Somehow the gate got open and Roscoe bit a neighbor walking his dog. The neighbor has gone to a lawyer and is going to sue us unless we get rid of the dog by December 23. He wants the dog put down. Roscoe has a couple other incidents before the fence was up. All were minor bites. Roscoe needs a way to be active, either a permanently fenced area or someone who can give him several walks a day. The entire family loves Roscoe and is heartbroken that we have to give him up but have no choice.
