About Archie

Meet Archie, a sweet 3-4 year old pit mix. Archie loves car rides, naps, long walks, and running zoomies. Archie is fairly independent but loves to greet you when you come home and lay near you for the occasional pet. I have to rehome him because he attacked one of my friends. My friend is fine but after this incident my roommate will not let Archie stay with us any longer. I have been working with Archie for about six months now, and before this incident, he had made MASSIVE improvements from the abused shelter dog he used to be. He is less fearful, now tolerates other dogs and is even friendly with some, and he has started learning basic commands. He is house trained and incredibly loyal. I love this dog more than anything and I want to find him a home with owners who will be able to invest the time and love to finish what I started. As an aside I labeled that he is not good with men or other dogs because he was really bad about that when I first adopted him. Since he has learned to trust some men, it just takes him longer. As for other dogs, he is learning to socialize and be friendly. He is now able to ignore most dogs and socialize and be friendly with some.
