About Hank

Hello Hank! I am a handsome fawn great dane. I was surrendered to rescue for reportedly not being good with the newest human addition to the family but have tested well with the children in my rescue family. I am just really big and kind of knocked one over once. Whoops. So far at rescue I have tested well with the medium sized dogs I am with, especially females. My rescue family was told that I can be a bit defensive when I first meet new dogs but I have been friends with a lot of dogs in my short life and I just need introductions done correctly and time to get to know them. I didn't react negatively to the children in my rescue family but my forever family needs to be aware of my size. Sometimes dogs like me have accidents when we are just trying to play but we are too big for our britches. I also had a twisted gut in my past and had my stomach tacked to prevent further issues. This is a common procedure for dogs like me. I am a nice guy deserving a home that understands my breed's needs and can love me forever. My rescue family thinks I am the funniest tank! I like to sit pretty and try to catch treats in the air. I am not very good at it. I also really like to eat. And go for walks. And car rides.
