She's fun and active and would fit into almost any family. She's very low maintenance! While Opal is known to have lived with cats, proper introductions would be necessary for cats and dogs. If you think you fit the bill for Opal....or know someone that does and is looking for a new fur baby, please consider Opal. Opal is a 5 year old retriever/pointer Opal's last year, if not more, has been filled with uncertainty and instability. Her owner was homeless and they moved around a lot. And Opal nearly paid with her life. She was attacked by another dog and was left untreated for days. She almost died. Today, she is healed, happy and healthy!! She deserves a safe and loving home where she can unpack her bags and settle in on a couch for the rest of her life. I had offered to foster Opal through pasco county animal services so she wouldn't have to recover from her injuries at the shelter. I decided along our journey that I couldn't bring myself to return her to the shelter. So I made a promise to Opal that I would find her forever home, and she could stay with us in the meantime. Opal is not free to a good home. She has a rehoming fee. Background check, home check and vet reference will also be required.
