About Barbie

This pretty girl is 'Barbie' ��� One of the biggest questions we get is what breed is the dog. Please know that we do not know. The majority of the dogs we rescue are from shelters where they are facing euthanasia due to space. Not much, if anything, is known about their past. All we can do is make an educated guess based on appearance, size and demeanor. Such is the case with Barbie. Our best guess is that she is an Aussie Shepherd/Great Pyrenees or maybe some sort of Retreiver mix. Her coloring is beautiful with hues of black, browns and grays. Although she is currently only 45lbs, she is large in stature and likely will be close to 60lbs once she has filled out. Barbie is estimated at one year of age. She might be a little younger than that. She definitely has puppy tendencies and is very spirited and playful. She loves playing with toys and/or witih other dogs. She can go non stop - lol. Barbie is crate trained (although she protests a little at first) and has had no accidents in her foster home. She is dog and people friendly. We have no history of her with cats. Barbie's ideal forever home would be one with another dog friendly dog and a contained yard for them to play in. She will also need someone willing to invest in some training as she still has puppy tendencies and needs some work on basic commands. Overall Barbie is a sweet, friendly girl.
