This very different and unique looking boy is a Wirehaired Terrier/Doxie Mix and is absolutely one of a kind! This sweet dog is 4 yrs old, 20 lbs, neutered, chipped and up to date on his shots. When we saw Asher in the shelter, he was absolutely terrified and shut down. The shelter vet would not handle him; our vet staff had to let him decompress for a week before attempting to examine him. Oh boy, we thought that we had one tough cookie on our hands! We could not have been more wrong! Asher outside of kennel walls was a different dog! He is loving, sweet, independent, a good mentor to another pup who has some neurological issues and we are completely enamored with him! Asher has a cute little strut, is a leader of the pact and loves his humans! Asher needs to have at least one other dog in the home because he is very social and he seeks out companionship from his foster siblings! Asher would not do well as an only dog.
