About Queso

Introducing Queso! Chihuahua Mix 9 weeks old Approximately 3 lbs. Queso and her siblings, Chip and Salsa, found themselves in a bad situation. The trio were sick and uncared for when they arrived in the shelter. Luckily, upon arrival in IL, they were vetted, fed and loved and they have thrived!! Do you like your Queso a little SPICY?!? Well then this girl is for you! She's got a spunky little attitude and LOVES to play! She enjoys chasing her siblings around, chewing on toys and cuddling with her foster mom. She also enjoys giving kisses. Queso has not started her house training and so she will need someone who is home often to let her out every few hours. She sleeps quietly in her crate with her siblings right now, but there will most likely be a transition period when she leaves them. Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
