About Monty

Monty is a beautiful, purebred, (now Neutered) male Bengal, approximately 8 yrs. old. He is not formally registered anymore. Current owners have become disabled, lost their home, and are now unable to take care of him. Monty was rescued from a cattery when he was approximately 3 yrs old. They apparently kept him in a cage and tried to breed him to a female serval who almost killed him several times. He bears those battle scars. Monty is sweet once he gets to know you. He is very handsome: somewhat on the glitter side. Monty is affectionate and likes lots of attention. He will probably be very cautious and hesitant the first several weeks, then become a big loyal, Bengal, mush pie - as much as they can. Monty would be best in an adult home with no other pets. He would probably also be best in a home that understands the Bengal cat mindset as he is a true Bengal with their wild characteristics. He has never been around young children or dogs. Monty has been a free roaming inside cat (with occasional outside escapes which he enjoys for a short period then begs to come back in when he gets hungry) Like all Bengal cats he will need a tall cat tree preferably in front of the window with the sun rays beaming in and lots of cat toys to keep his attention. He also needs someone who can spend a lot of time with him and have nice long talks with him as he is very vocal and loves to have his tummy rubbed. He does great with the litter boxes. Monty is current on all his shots. Adopters must come to get Monty and accompany him back home.
