About Henry-ADOPTION PENDING

Yorkie / Cairn
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

There are many, many Terrier lovers in the dog world...they're considered by many to be some of the most desirable breeds available today. This is due to their consistently cuddly temperaments and silly, entertaining personalities. There's also no question that they're strikingly beautiful with their cotton-soft, flowing hair and soft, expressive eyes. Henry is stunning! He has touches of shades of silver running through his gorgeous silky coat. Once he has a spa day..Henry will be the handsomest Yorkie mix around! Due to the stress and poor diet of a facility, Henry's coat looks shelter-tired. He will require a lifelong commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition (a daily salmon oil supplement is a excellent for longevity and coat care). This regimen will result in a stunning and very healthy non-shedding coat. Henry is just about 4.5 years old and 19 lbs..the perfect size to hike the Colorado trails with his family and at day's end to cuddle all night long beside his favorite people. An excellent home for Henry is a savvy family of retirees or a younger family that works from home or just part-time. Henry is too sensitive a guy to spend long hours alone while his family works full-time outside of the home. Henry, as we would suspect, was extremely frightened in the shelter. But not for him to be negative...he ultimately became the most popular guy around and ended up being loved up on warm laps in the shelter office. Through this very positive interaction, the shelter personnel realized that Henry is very social, extremely loving and cuddly and very ready for a wonderful family to call his own. Henry, once comfortable, will be a perfect companion for a dog-loving family who enjoys spending time with their best friend. Long walks and hikes along amazing Colorado paths will be so much fun for Henry! And at day's end, he loves nothing more than to cuddle against his favorite people either on their lap or close by to feel their companionship. Henry is an equal opportunity lover...if friends are over, get ready for them to fall in love with Henry. He's very social, kind and comfortable in virtually all situations. We feel strongly that Henry's forever family should have the motivation to continue his socialization and offer him the gift of positive reinforcement group obedience training classes. This type of regimentation and understanding of boundaries will bring greater confidence and self esteem to Henry. He will also develop a stronger bond with his family resulting in a loyal and very loving family dog. We feel that Henry would be great with a canine companion.. or as on only dog with an involved guardian. While he enjoys the company of a playful and gentle doggie-friend, it's not mandatory for his happiness. It's more the companionship of a loving and respectful guardian that's important. Henry will return this kindness and love a thousand times over. Henry is a non-shedding guy who has been unkempt...but underneath (with great nutrition) is a stunning coat waiting to emerge. Henry will require a commitment to periodic lifelong grooming and excellent nutrition to keep his stunning coat healthy, cottony-soft and matt-free. Henry will be arriving on transport in Denver on Wednesday 11/13/19. We're currently accepting applications for our sweetheart of a guy. If interested in this beautiful, cuddly and very loving best friend, please fill out an application completely at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ and submit. PLEASE NOTE: If you're truly interested in adopting Henry, please be sure to fill out the Farfel's adoption application. It can be reached at the link above or by going to farfels.com.
