About Delta

Hi ������%8F%BC I'm Delta Dawn. I am around 4 years old. ��%90 I hope to have a furever home soon! My foster mommy has had me for some time now because I was an outdoor dog with little socialization. I just don't have this house pet thing down quite yet! I'm very quirky and mostly want to take long naps in my cozy kennel all the time ���� Some would say I'm terrified of everything, but really I'm just nervous about new things because all I ever knew was the same fence and yard for my entire life. I am sweet and shy right now. I prefer to eat in private and keep a routine. I've come a long way. When I got here I wouldn't make eye contact or leave my kennel without being leashed and led around. I was like, what is this floor without grass and walls that are not a wire fence? I had no clue! But now when I hear the back door and my housemate runs to it, I know it is time for a potty break! I am still unsure about my big new backyard, so I only do my business then go right back to my kennel. I have a favorite spot in the living room and when my foster mom calls me over I will run fast to it and get comfy. I may not have this house dog thing down yet, but if someone will be patient, kind, and help me learn it's not a scary place inside a home, I know I will be a happy girl! My foster mom wants you to know good things take time and nurturing. There are no kids where I'm at right now. I don't know how I'd feel about them because I prefer the quiet and relaxing environment ���� I've only had one accident in my kennel and never in the house, so I tackled this potty training thing with ease ���� I think toys are really weird and I haven't learned how to play yet. Maybe once I feel safe I'll be more adventurous �٤� If you give me a special treat or bone in my kennel, I'll eat it right up as soon as I know it's in private! Yummy ���� My Aussie housemate is full of energy! He always wants me to play but I would rather watch for now. He doesn't bother me, but I might be fine as an only dog too. ��%90� I hope someone out there will show me the way to this happy dog life!!!
