About Hulk

Meet Hulk. Hulk was born 9/15/18, so he is still young and learning. He was rescued by my husband and I in August from Craigslist. He is very high energy and wants to consistently play and exert his energy, but he tends to play quite rough. Hulk would do best in a home as the only dog, but I would be willing to adopt to someone who has another dog, if that person has experience with training. We are not sure how he is with cats or kids, as we don't know if he was ever around them prior to us rescuing him. He also needs someone who is able to walk/run him on a daily basis or has a fenced in yard allowing him to run and play. He does need some behavioral training, as he can be rough (sometimes without knowing) and bite hands and other dogs faces/ears to initiate play. His basic commands are great! We feel he may have come from a bad situation, so he can be fearful depending on specific instances and will bark at anyone/anything he isn't too sure about or hasn't met yet. He calms down once you tell him it's okay and let him up to that thing/person to sniff. With his fearfulness comes anxiety, so he doesn't sit still for very long and doesn't initiate cuddling, but he will sit with you and allow you to pet him if you want, and if petting him in a few good spots, he will love it! Remember, Hulk is still a puppy and is in his teenage years, so everything surrounding him is interesting. With that said, he tends to pick anything up and chew on it, something we are still working on. It will take time with this hunk to get him to 100%, but if he is with the right person/family, he will do very well.
