Jolene is a 3-4 yr old pup who came from a hoarding situation almost a year ago. She weighs approximately 45-50 pounds. We believe she is a Springer Spaniel/ Golden mix. When she first came to her foster home she was so scared she wouldn't come out of hiding. After months of rehabilitation and desensitizing, Jolene has gained her confidence and learned to trust humans. She has become acclimated to the other dogs and puppies in her foster home and is doing very well. She loves her ears scratched, loves to lay on the couch next to her humans and will roll over for a belly rub. She is a wonderful part of the pack. Jolene deserves a family of her own and has worked so hard and come so far. she is absolutely terrified of car rides and leashes. We thought she would overcome her fears but she hasn't and probably never will. Unless someone is willing to work with her in a fenced yard little by little to get her use to a leash. We have no idea what happened to her to make her so fearful, but other than that she is a very sweet pup. So we are looking for a home for her with no other dogs or possibly one other non-dominant dog, or overly playful dog that is chill. She would need a home where she can relax in the house and go out into a securely fenced yard to explore and do her business. She seems to favor men over women but will be fine with either. NO children because she is still a timid dog and loud noises still startle her.She will not be a good travel companion. So if you are looking for a loving, sweet, and affectionate couch potato, then Jolene is the dog for you. She is around 3-4 yrs old, Heart worm negative, Up to date on all her shots and preventatives, and she is spayed. She is house and crate trained.
