About Adam

Meet Adam! Adam is a really fun 2-year old, 51-pound pittie mix living in Beverly, MA. Adam's claim to fame is his winking ear, which is irresistible. As a young boy he has a spirit that's full of life and curiosity. He will make someone a loyal and loving companion for adventures of any kind. Adam is super social! He gets very excited when meeting people and dogs so be prepared for his energetic introductions. He likes people, dogs and is even good with cats. He enjoys other dogs but a fur-sibling should be a bully-type breed because of the bully playstyle. Since he gets overly aroused, Adam's not a candidate for dog parks. Also, he will not be adopted to a home with children. Adam is not aggressive at all, just an excitable boy who doesn't realize how hard his mouthing can be. This amber-eyed boy has lots of interests and has been on many field trips while living at a shelter and with his foster family. He is great in the car, too so you can take him on various outings. He will be happy to help pick out kibble at the pet supply shop or tools at the hardware store. Adam's lucky adopter will benefit from his basic obedience training, but they will continue working with him on all his skills and challenge him with new tricks. He is super smart and enjoys learning with treat rewards. There's so much more he is capable of learning. Adam has benefited from being crate-trained and it's an excellent tool for calming him down. His owner will continue to use a crate with him. His trainer/foster will explain all you need to know for his transition to a new home which will include important steps for his first two weeks. By following some tried and true rules for a great adjustment, Adam will know his place in the family and be his best self. If you're looking for a companion that's sweet, active, and who can wink with his ear, and you're experienced with providing a dog with structure and consistency, then Adam is for you.
