This Gorgeous Boy is Hudson he is a purebred Blue Weimaraner Hudson is 2 years old , he is approx 70lbs This Boy is described as amazing by his foster family He is a rather chilled Weimaraner for his age. A lovely Weimy boy that is grateful for the home comforts at his foster home, He is just waiting for his perfect forever family to take him home and love on him forever. So you may wonder why this awesome boy is in rescue, Hudson was not always this gorgeous he came to us raggedy underweight and didn't even know his name. Hudson was a confiscation case taken from the deplorable conditions he was forced to live in at his Alabama home if you could call it a home. Animal Control removed him and placed him in a local shelter. The shelter manager reached out to us and we transported him to Florida. Since he arrived back in July Hudson has lived with his foster family that have taught him lots of things and have given Hudson lots of love. Hudson has transitioned to the beautiful boy he is today due to the great care and dedication they have bestowed on him. Hudson has enjoyed the time at his foster home but it is now time for him to be settled with someone that is fully committed to give our boy a wonderful forever home, love security and stability Hudson needs to be part of a family. Hudson is rather a calm boy for his age he has his moments of energy and silliness but then he easily calms down and relaxes not one for running around the yard or playing fetch. He does well with mental games training and stimulation. He loves long walks to release his physical energy. He gets excited at walk time and he reminds you every night its that time. the walks make him happy & tired. Our fosters wish he would play more outside but they report they haven't found a toy that really excites him yet. We usually find this in Weims that have had a difficult life beforehand that they love the security of being indoors and usually venture out in the yard if you are with them the minute you go inside they are right behind you. Hudson I feel would be more playful if he had a sister around his own age and size I say this because on his journey down he had an overnight stay with one of our adopters and he loved playing with her female Weimaraner even in the unhealthy condition he was in at that time. He is an only dog right now but he has had a lot of time dedicated to him and he has learnt a great deal. He knows commands sit, stay, lay Down,Paw, Speak,Slow /Fast During Walks Stop during walks and he has learnt what its like to be loved. Hudson is super loving and deserves his new forever family. Hudson is healthy, Neutered up to date on shots Heart worm Negative Micro chipped and current on monthly prevention. So what are we looking for in Hudson's new home, We are looking for a family that has time to spend with him someone that is home most of day, he is not a needy boy but does not want to be left alone for long hours. We are looking for an established Weimaraner family someone that fully understands our breed NO EXCEPTIONS This is an absolute must Weimaraners are not for everyone. Hudson would love a sister to play with one around his own age that is playful and can bring him out of his shell a little more a fenced in yard is also a requirement No apartments Condos or rental properties. NO EXCEPTIONS on the property status. We are looking for someone that dosent crate Hudson dosent need to be crated he is fine at his foster home they have a camera if they leave and Hudson just relaxes on the sofa, Also looking for a calmer home with no young children and NO CATS for Hudson he does have the curious Weimaraner prey drive for small animals. Hudson is good in the car loves to go for rides so travel with this boy will be easy There is no doubt my mind Hudson will really excel in the right forever home.
