Name: Gracie Age: Approximately 5 years Breed: Huskey/Shephard mix Sex: Female (70#) Location: Fairacres, NM Vet Information: Gracie is confirmed spayed and is UTD. No HW test or preventative. Owner reports 'Gracie has progressive retinal atrophy, was born with only a portion of her sight. She now also has cataracts, and is completely blind.' Gracie has been with her owner since 2015. She was adopted from the local city shelter. Her owner is experiencing financial hardship. She is moving in with a friend who already has a dog and cat and can not take in another animal. Gracie is a husky shepherd mix. She is described as an indoor dog with the run of the house. Owner reports Gracie is housebroken and leash trained. Gracie is described as outgoing, good with women and cats (Gracie lives with 4 other cats). Gracie knows the following commands Left, right, back up, step up step down, careful, sit. According to Gracie's owner 'She and the other (dog) I used to have got into a fight, but she has never snapped or bitten any person. 'So long as she 'Gracie' is given verbal cues (such as careful, which means slow down and check your surroundings, like you're about to walk into a wall for example) she adapts fairly well. She's a pretty quick learner of her surroundings, as well.'
