Oakley is a totally amazing Husky mix that is tender and well behaved. He wants nothing more than to go on adventures with his people or is content to lay by their side. At just 41 pounds he also thinks he is a lap dog... which can be just what you need when you are having a rough day. He is good with both cats and dogs and would be great as a play buddy to your existing dog or would do fine alone. Oakley isn't at all fond of his crate but will lay in one quietly by your bedside. He does settle quite quickly in a 3 1/2 foot puppy pen. He isn't destructive though and will keep himself occupied with a nap and a Benebone while his people are away. Though neutered, he does seem to mark things... but wears a belly band like a champ and his foster is working on correcting the marking behavior. He is otherwise house trained. Oakley is believed to be around 4 or 5 years old and has excellent manners as he doesn't jump up on people, hardly barks, and will sit when asked. He is a total people person and seems to like everyone he meets. If you are the type of person that likes to take your dog with you wherever you go... Oakley would be a great sidekick. You may apply to adopt Oakley at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adoptable-dogs. His adoption fee is $200 and he is vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
