About Mae Belle

Adoption Fee: $180
Bull Terrier mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Mae Belle is an exceptional dog, who suffered a terrible injustice when she was found all alone with no one looking for her. Luckily Mae Belle was found by a couple of heroes who took her in and cared for her. The couple tried keeping Mae Belle, they really love her, but their situation doesn't allow them to. Mae Belle was owner surrendered to our shelter on August 2, 2019. Mae Belle was then fostered in a home for several weeks where we learned some valuable information about our little belle of the ball. Mae Belle is thought to be a Bull Terrier/Bull Mastiff mix. She is about four years-old and of medium size. She has a black and white coat with the most perfect black patch over her right eye - adorable! And a personality that is off the charts happy and well-adjusted, even given what she's been through. This dog is pure love and joy. She loves EVERYONE she meets, including cats! She is a real people and feline dog. As we learned though, she would prefer to not have to deal with other dogs and would do best in an only dog household. Mae Belle loves to be at the center of things. She is always wagging her tail and eagerly looks forward to all the attention she can get. Mae Belle walks well on a leash, but she doesn't always like to do her business in public. She is house-trained. She'll get in a car easily and enjoys the ride, but she doesn't like getting out of cars. Perhaps because she was dumped and she's afraid that will happen to her again. Mae Belle wants to be with her people doing all the fun things that her people do. Mae Belle would make for a wonderful companion and may be just the girl for an older couple. She also does well in an office setting, greeting customers. She doesn't need a lot of exercise, she really just loves being a companion. Mae Belle captures the hearts of everyone she meets. Her original heroes still check in on her and her foster family keeps tabs as well. We all wish for nothing more than to find Mae Belle that perfect family where she can be spoiled and loved on. This girl deserves the best. Mae Belle is a shelter favorite with her incredible looks and bubbly personality. Mae Belle is spayed, fully vetted and microchipped. If you are looking for an incredible dog to welcome to your family, come meet Mae Belle. She is definitely one-of-a kind and will add so much joy to the person or family lucky enough to adopt her.
