About Diesel

Our 4-year-old Diesel melts when he receives affection from his leader. He lightly pushes his 90 pound body into yours, as if he is returning the gestures. Diesel loves to hang out with other dogs. He has happily lived with a Maltese mix and a Great Dane! Size does not matter�'�| He is very dog friendly. Diesel can only go to someone who is dog savvy. He is a beautiful dog who needs someone to give him a respectful time-frame for follow-through on new expectations. Diesel does not want to run the show. He does want to please. He is uneasy in vehicles. The Second Chance Dogs trainer is helping him with this behavior. Forcing Diesel to do something will destroy your relationship. Daily physical exercise and mental stimulation are important. From time to time, Diesel does show a tendency to want to possess items. We have found with calm redirection, he is able to move past it. Due to the abuse he sustained, he needs someone who is patient enough to build a relationship with him... not just train him. This handsome Doberman can react to loud, frustrated, angry voices, putting him on guard. He is a loving dog who is sensitive to his environment. He is looking for a home with a dependable routine. Fast movement (kids running around) can create stress. His fears can escalate to a growl. He needs to know you will take care of him. You must indicate you are there for him. He is seeking true companionship, trust and care. Without a doubt, Diesel's past has included abuse. He has been in multiple adopting and fostering homes. He continues to give his love, yet has not found the right match. Serious adopters will be required to work with the SCD trainer, in Maple Valley, WA.
