About Chica

Adoption Fee: $25.
Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Chica showed up at our son's home during a tropical storm. He was outside smoking when he heard her and let the disheveled kitty inside for the storm. His wife and girls fell in love with her, named her Chica, then the weeks following the girls had all kinds of respiratory problems. The Dr. said the kitty had to go, but where to? Grandpa and Grandma's house of course! However we have 3 cats and Chica does not like them at all , and the feeling is mutual, and despite trying for months she now lives in our enclosed lanai and we open up our master bedroom during the day for her as well. She is very sweet, loves purring and rolling around and doesn't mind the granddaughters visiting, they are 8 and 5, she just walks away when she's done with them, lol. She has a bit of a snaggletooth but no problems eating. She's completely litter trained. She's microchipped and updated on shots and spayed. We knew her ear was chipped, and learned she was caught and released near our son's home. The humane society said they would simply release her back into her old area BUT she obviously loves being indoors, loves being loved and wants to belong. She wants nothing to do with our other 3 cats (she will give them the evil eye through the sliding glass doors of the lanai) and chase them full on if she manages to slip into the rest of the house. We close the lanai curtains often to keep the stare-downs to a minimum. She needs a home where either someone knows more about assimilating her or it's a one cat home. She's put on weight and has blossomed, loves both my hubby and I and we are hoping to rehome her soon, we've shared her story for several months with friends/Facebook friends but no one wants her. Sad face. We'd love to open the lanai back up to the house and let our kitties live in peace but Chica needs a new family to do that. I'm sure she'd appreciate owning her own house as well! Can you help?
