About Maja

Extremely urgent! Foster or adopter needed to save this sweet girl's life. She is a sweetheart, loves to be hugged by volunteers. 'Maja is a Greek name meaning great mother. What Maja really needs is a great foster mother or father who will love her unconditionally and make her feel safe and secure. Maja is very scared at the shelter. Her nerves make her cautious to come out of her kennel and overall very slow moving anywhere we went. Once Maja made it outside, she was still very terrified often freezing in fear. Her overall body condition isn't great, it is possible she's suffered abuse from humans in some way. She flinches and shakes when I'd attempt to lightly pet her. She'd allow the handling but clearly wasn't comfortable with the handling. We didn't do much more than a slow crawl around the yard. Maja wasn't interested in treats and toys would've been overwhelming. She will need time to build up her confidence and learn to trust.' Volunteers willing to help with transport.
