Rocky was thrown out on a county road to fend for himself. When we found him, he was a very sick boy. He was extremely thin and covered by bloody scabs. He had major hair loss. We were able to get him to a vet where it was discovered that he had red mange, an ear infection, malnutrition, tape worms, scabies, and hook worms. We had him fully vetted and put in quarantine for 30 days to get better. We have had him nearly 2 months now. He has turned into a beautiful blue nose Pitt. All of his previous problems are gone! He has the concept of sitting down and we are working on stay. He is going to be a very big boy, probably around 100 pounds or more. Because we want Rocky to go to a home where the people will continue his vetting, we are asking the adopter to provide us with the name of the veterinarian they currently use. We will use this as a reference. The adopter will need to be able to provide Rocky with the kind of vet care he deserves. He will need to be kept on Iverhart Max every month and Bravecto every 3-4 months. Of course, he will need yearly shots. Please be aware of these conditions before asking about adopting Rocky. Rocky is 6 months old and learning. You can see more of Rocky's story at Rocky's Road to Recovery Facebook page.
