About Cinder

Adoption Fee: 75
Domestic Cat
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Cinder is a pretty, young (about 2 yrs old) petite girl that has become aggressive (mostly when trying to pet or hold) and people-selective since she has been in her foster home for over a year (seems to like men more than women). She had kittens when she first came into the rescue and she was a great mom to them all. She didn't exhibit the aggressive behavior which consists of attacking hands and legs of people (mostly women) that she doesn't connect with. She is very afraid of new environments and will need a lot of time to adjust. She really seems to love her foster dad, so maybe is selective more towards men. She initially was an outside cat and was surrendered to a shelter before coming to us, so all we can think to try with her is to allow her a safe indoor/outdoor home so she can have more freedom. If you have a great set up for a cat that needs outdoor access (an enclosed screened in porch or catio would be ideal!), please contact us. Cinder is not feral. She seems annoyed to be indoors and has to get out of the room she has to be kept in to stay away from the other pets in the house, whom she really hates. Please consider Cinder if you can help her and help us give her a better life. She is healthy otherwise - nice coat, has been spayed, and current on all vet care as described. All cats are at least 8 weeks old at time of adoption, are spayed/neutered, FeLV/FIV tested, dewormed, microchipped, vaccinated (FVRCP and rabies - if at least 16 wks old), and given a starter dose of flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Adoption fee applies. Adoption application, interview, and home check required to be considered for adoption. No declawing policy and indoor homes only (Cinder is an exception and can go to an indoor/outdoor home). Foster to adopt, trial periods available. Looking for cat whisperers to help our girl!
