About Clyde

Meet Clyde, this 3-year-old boy will capture your heart. He falls right into the Love Bug classification. He loves everyone and is pretty confidant that everyone loves him, this is despite our rescuing him from a kill shelter. Clyde weighs 65 pounds and gets along with men, women, children and dogs but is a bit intimidated by kittens, he is not aggressive with them just curious. Clyde is smart, playful and affectionate. He does not have any food or toy guarding issues or aggression. His favorite things are hanging out with his human, cuddle on the couch, play with other dogs, go on walks and play in the backyard if his person is with him. He is very much an indoor dog. Clyde has a moderate energy level; he is playful and settles down quickly. Clyde doesn't jump so is great with kids and will take a treat from a child very gently. Clyde has been around multiple children and is calm, loving and gentle. He does well in a chaotic home with many family members or a quiet home he just wants to spend time with his family and be your companion. Clyde is house broken, and crate trained. He only mouths or chews his own toys and does not bother things in the house. He loves bones, Kongs and stuffed animals. He can be reliably left out in the house and does not do any damage. His preferred sleeping location is his persons bed. Clyde does well on a leash, but he is very strong and will occasionally pull. This easy-going boy would do well in a family or with an all adult household that is willing to shower him with the love and attention that he deserves. He would also be okay with being an only dog or with having a fun fur sibling that likes to play but also will allow some couch time. At some point Clyde had an injury and missing his tail. It actually looks natural (like an Australian Shepherd) and only adds to his individual personality, when you look at him from the behind, he looks like a little black bear. When he is happy his whole back end wiggles and wags! Clyde is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and vetted, plus microchipped. Thankfully he is heartworm negative and on prevention.
