About TROOPER

Trooper is a male lab/terrier mix, been neutered and had a broken leg so he has a metal rod in his front left leg. He is brown with brown eyes. I have medical records and will forward them as needed. He gets along with my female & younger male dogs but not my older pointer Trooper was found in the middle of the road on Cedard lane in Greenville Sc on 11/7/18. He was hurt and terrified! I took him to my vet that took xrays and determined that he needed a specialist. They recommend Upstate Vet specialist and I have his records from there. Feel free to reach out to Doctor Leach. She was fantastic! He couldn't walk at all at first and we thought we were going to have to put him down that week! However he showed much improvement anytime he saw me! We quickly bonded! He was in the hospital a week then they agreed to do surgery and neutered him as well. It took Trooper 6 week at home to recover with a wheelchair and physical therapy three times a day. I even had to palpatate his bladder for him for two week in the beginning. It was a long and emotional road to recovery. Trooper always seemed to make it through! I fell head over limbs lol in love. After he healed and was able to interact with my pack he quickly started to react negatively to my oldest male Rocko. Rocko is a pointer mix so he is naturally anxious. My vet prescribe him with some trazodone to help mellow him and bond. Progressively its gotten worse with him and Rocko and they now go full on at times. For that reason I can no longer keep Trooper. It deviates me, but Ive had Rocko 8 years and its not fair to put either of them at risk. Both myself and my wonderful vet agree. Doctor Hauesien has been instrumental in the recovery of Trooper and his care. He is fully up to date on all shots and just needs someone that can invest in his rehabilitation and behavior transformation. Please help me save him! I fear for him if I am not able to rehome him soon. Coat length Short House-trained Yes Health Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered. Good in a home with Children.
