About FLOWER

Flower is a sweet 7 month old black lab mix that came to us on October 7 from Lexington County Animal Services. She was suffering from malnutrition and demodex mange. She was treated with Bravecto on October 10 and has been on a regular dose of Cephalexon twice a day. Her skin is much improved, and she is now at a healthy weight and energy level. Flower is a very sweet puppy who loves attention, walks, belly rubs and playtime. She gets especially excited when she knows she gets to play with another dog. She is fully potty trained and crate trained. She walks (actually prances) very well on a leash and doesn't pull�'�|unless she sees another dog. She needs continued work on her manners when she meets other dogs. She can come at them very quickly without much introduction, and she plays very hard. After I tire her out a little bit, I let her play with my four year old pit bull. She plays very hard but is not aggressive at all. She just sometimes does not know when another dog has had enough. She plays with one of my dogs, but currently she is too much for the other four year old dog. Flower loves her toys. She loves to chase a stick and then tear around the yard full speed. She knows how to swim and is very smart at learning new tricks. Currently she knows 'sit' and 'lie down.' She is having trouble learning 'stay' and 'here' mostly because she doesn't want to. She is actually quite calm in the house when she does not have another dog or too many people around. She does need to chew at this point because she is a puppy so she needs supervision and plenty of chew toys. She also gets pretty excited with people and can nip your skin a bit�'�|when what she really means to do is to lick you. She is just so excited and doesn't quite know how to handle her excitement. Flower is a very fun and playful puppy. She needs continued training and lots of opportunities for exercise. She would make a great running buddy. She doesn't like to be in a crate but calms quickly, and she does not tear up her bedding or blankets at all. Flower is very funny. She likes to slowly pull a hand towel off the rail and run off quickly with it. Also, when taking a walk, she will pick up a leaf and carry it for a few moments. Then she drops it and picks up an acorn�'�|then drops it and picks up a stick. She is so cute and full of personality. Flower will make a great family pet. She is still young so she needs continued training and supervision, but she is smart and will learn quickly. House-trained Yes Health Vaccinations up to date, spayed / neutered.
