About Remington

Remington was found on the side of the road. We thought he had been hit. At the vet we found out he was shot, once in the head and once in the leg. He is healing well but the leg is still in a cast for a few more weeks. He is looking for a new forever home. He is slightly alpha, but we had him neutered on Oct 25th. We are confident this will take the edge off of this behavior. He talks/grumbles/growls a lot. This is not aggression. It is his way of communicating. If you are timid around dogs, he is not for you. He needs an owner that understands his behavior to ensure he doesn't end up on the street again, or worse. He is house trained, crated trained, sits, shakes and likes to play fetch. He LOVES car rides. He is very well mannered. He even sat in the car with food in the front seat while I gassed up and he never looked at the food. He seems to like men more than women but he is bonding a lot with my daughter since she takes care of him and she found him. We would love him to go to a good home. He ignores the cats as long as they don't run from him. My cats are not friendly with dogs so he has not made friends with them, but he doesn't hurt them. He gets along ok with our Aussie, but they have had some turf wars because he's an intact male.
