About Tank

Urgent!!! 'With a name like Tank you'd think the dog was confident or strong/powerful...NOPE. Our boy Tank is pretty much the opposite -- but you know what... that's what a broken heart does to you: destroys your confidence and strength. He's a wallflower hiding in his kennel and terrified outside avoiding any interactions with strangers. That's what a broken heart does though. Tank was brought in with a whole family of dogs by a neighbor of his owner because they were unwanted. His face really conveys it too. We want Tank to feel wanted and loved like he should. He seems like he has had basic training, walking without pulling on the leash, sitting on command, and giving his paw once he got a little comfortable the second time out. Tank takes treats gently too. He was still owner searching outside but allowed light petting. He was much less reluctant to come out of his cage too. Tank is a dog that will need lots of love after he's had a long decompression period. His life has been completely jumbled up, there shouldn't any expectation of perfection from new owners/fosters during these types of situations.
