Please note, we are a Texas based rescue that transports our pups once they are adopted. All of our dogs reside in foster homes, so much is known about their temperament, training level and personality. We know adopting a dog sight unseen can be daunting, so we are happy to share additional videos, photos and even let you Facetime with the pup. We are primarily an equine rescue, but do assist with a small number of dogs annually. We are happy to provide references from previous adopters if needed. Thank you for wanting to adopt! ABOUT MY NAME Who needs clarification for this iconic moniker? Who has not seen all 12 Star Wars movies? :) My namesake was the protagonist in this awesome movie franchise. I can only hope to be as brave, strong, and smart as the original Luke. ABOUT ME I am a little boy, 7 month Golden Cocker Retreiver. I am a 'hybrid', or 'Crossbreed' of two of the most popular dog breeds!! According to Google;'The best way to determine the temperament of a cross *breed*is to look up all *breeds*in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either *breed*.' Fortunately, both sides of my ancestry, the Golden Retrievers and Cocker Spaniels, are among the friendliest dogs; this is one of the major reasons for their long standing popularity. They are also intelligent and keen to please. I am outgoing, friendly, and meet everyone with a happy tail wag!! My temperament is mellow and laid back, but I also enjoy my daily hikes and swimming in the river. I love to spend time with hoomans, either out for a hike or snuggled on the couch. I currently weigh 24 pounds, but will most likely end up a medium size dog between 35-40 pounds....Just the right size to curl up on the couch and to take along everywhere. My golden coat is short to medium in length and wavy, so will not require the grooming and upkeep of some of my gorgeous relatives!!
