Ragdoll Rescue Clarksville, IN 47129 Hello Kitteh Lovers! My name is Ka0z (Chaos). I am a purebred, neutered Flame Mitted Ragdoll in need of a loving, FOREVER home. I need to go to a home where I will FOREVER be the only cat. My current home is very stressful to me. I live with 5 other cats (all altered) and I do not get along with any of them. Part of the reason is because I am so closely bonded with my mom, that I do not want to share her with anyone else. I have one particular cat that I bully viciously any chance I get and so, for now, she lives in a cage to keep me from attacking her. She is not the only one I have gotten aggressive with, as I tend to hiss and growl at anyone who approaches my mom when I am close by her. In an effort to stop the territorial aggression towards other cats, I have been put on the strongest recommended dose of Prozac. This worked for awhile, but now I have started attacking the cat in her cage again and the constant dosing has made me wary of my People Parents (and other humans). Additionally, the long-term use of Prozac has me over-grooming and therefore losing the hair on my sides. I am simply NOT happy in my current home. Due to my territorial issues, I have sprayed in my home. My current People Parents moved homes to try and stop the spraying and they believe it has stopped between the move and the Prozac, but are not positive of that fact due to being nose-blind after living with the odor for a couple of years. I have bonded with my mom strongly and love to sit and watch her at all times. I am a delight to her and will likely be perfectly happy, and hopefully eventually able to be weaned off the Prozac if I can be in a home with no other cats. Dogs do not seem to bother me, but if I could go to a home that had no other current animals, that would be my preference. To be blunt, I'm just really stressed out and would love to live in a home where I am worshipped....err....played with like I used to be. More about Me: I am 6 years old, weigh about 17 lb and am healthy - with recent bloodwork to prove it. I am up to date on my vaccines. I'm also not a picky eater. I love just about all foods, especially Cheetos Puffs, although due to my spraying and stress UTI's, I should remain on a special Urinary food. I could have been registered, but my People Parents have lost the paperwork and saw no reason to register me, as I was not to be used for breeding. I am however, extremely photogenic and love posing for pictures. I have never been around younger children as my Human Sister was 13 when I was brought into this house. I do not like to be picked up, even when held firmly but as with all Ragdolls, lifting me turns me into a huge floppy purring ball of fur. I love string toys, and anything that moves. I've also taken great joy in automated random feather toys and anything with catnip. I have a nice, professionally tuned baritone purr and a big, wide head to scratch whenever you want to hear it. My purr is loud - it can be heard across the room easily. I have never shown any violence towards people. Even when you give me medicine, I simply leave for a short time, but quickly forgive and come right back to supervise your actions or sit nearby for love. If you annoy me I will simply move further away, but will always keep my most dear people in my line of sight so I can make sure they are taking sufficient care of my PURRSONALITY and well-being at all times. I usually come to a simple 'Kitty Kitty' and love any loving attention. I have never stepped a paw outside and would be better in a home that doesn't allow my paws to touch down outside my home. My beautiful coat does not need a lot of care; just a few brushes a week will keep it in line. It has the texture and feel of a bunny. I would do best in a home where I am the main attraction, but I would be ok with a quiet, calm dog that leaves me alone but cannot handle any other cats. I'm an Alpha kitty and will compete with any other cats, altered or not. I live in a home that is very quiet from humans, but quite chaotic between the other cats and the big clumsy Saint Bernard. I am used to an environment with no yelling, but am used to loud noises from TV or radios. I am not accustomed to screaming children and quarreling. I would not do well in such environments.
