I'm crazy lucky. I was in a shelter for almost six months and lived to tell the tale. I wasn't in any way mistreated, but I received very little human attention. The first week I was in my foster home, the only time I came out of hiding was when my litter was being scooped. What that told my foster mom was the only time I had human interaction from the time I was a tiny kitten was when my cage was cleaned. For a couple months, I was a work in progress. I'm proud and happy to announce that I'm now a lap cat with a purr motor you have to hear to believe! I'm a big orange boy who will keep you really warm on cold winter nights. When humans come home, I run to greet them, and I follow them around and wind around their legs. And let me say it for myself, I'm pretty smart, too. One drawback is I'm still not great at being picked up, but that's not too unusual for a lot of cats. With love and trust that'll get better because it's getting better now. I love windows with cat trees, all kinds of toys are my idea of a good time. Add a heaping dose of love and some treats, and I'm in heaven!
