About TIgger

Medina, Ohio Tigger is looking for her Pooh! Sweet Tigger is a friendly Boxer / Cane Corso mix, 65 pounds, around 9 to 11 years old and finds herself in quite a pickle. Her owner moved to Arizona 5 months ago and could not take her. His elderly parents meant well when they took her in but they live in a condo and due to their age and situation, they are not able to care for her. They've not had any luck reaching out to rescues. Tigger is spayed and up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She is in good health, has slight arthritis in her hips but it doesn't stop her from getting around. She is strong for a senior girl and will pull when first starting a walk, then she settles down. However, her owners do not think they will be able to walk her this winter and are afraid of falling. Tigger is fully housetrained - never had an accident. She has not been crate trained in the home but she does well when boarded at local kennels when they travel. She sleeps on a dog bed but also likes to sleep in their closet so it's likely she would enjoy having her own little 'house/crate'. Commands she knows: Sit, Shake, Lie-down and Stay. When she gets all happy her tail goes around in circles - so cute! Their son would take her to dog parks where she interacted with other dogs well. When they walk her now, they keep her from other pets because of their comfort level walking. Family members have 2 female dogs. Tigger gets along well with one but she and the other don't enjoy each other's company. Tigger gets excited with new visitors to the home, then she settles down. They have grandchildren and she has done fine with them, but they think an adult home might be best. Tigger used to have a fenced in yard, but it's not a requirement if someone is able to walk her. During walks, if she spots rabbits or squirrels, she just looks at them, doesn't try to chase. Tigger needs a rescue or adopter. Soon. I'm not sure how much longer her owners will keep her.
