About Heartleigh

Heartleigh is a timid 1 year old Kelpie mix looking for her forever home that will help her learn to be a dog. She weighs about 20 pounds but does need to gain a few extra pounds to fill out. Heartleigh came to us from the County shelter where she had been trapped on the reservation. She seems to be very unsure of new people and will require a home that is willing to commit to Heartleigh and understands she will need time and patience. Heartleigh has done well around women. She has not been around many men and will need a home with no children. She done well with calm cats and calm small dogs. She does require a canine companion in the home to help her open up more. Any dogs in the home will be required to meet with Heartleigh prior to adoption. She is kennel trained, but may need additional training as she adjusts. Heartleigh can be leashed and will allow gentle pets and makes her feel more comfortable to be picked up. She will need a home willing to give this girl all the TLC they can offer. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and vet checked. Her adoption fee is $150 and includes 30 days of free pet insurance and a free vet visit.
