Dawson is very protective of who he deems as his owner, and others he is familiar with and he is very sweet. With training, as he is a very smart dog but can be verbally aggressive if he is around strangers, I am very confident he will grow into a very obedient dog. I would not, at this time, recommend families with kids adopt him, but rather recommend him to a younger couple or an active single person who wants an energetic and cuddly dog. Dawson has no health issues and is quite healthy. He has no dietary restrictions. Dawson only goes potty in the house if he is left alone for a long time, but this doesn't occur when he is attended to. The reason we want to move Dawson into a better situation is our schedule does not really accommodate his needs. . He is a great dog that is loved, but he is just a not good fit for our family as we are not home enough to give him the attention and exercise he truly needs.
