About Maybrey

Mabrey is a 4 month old Feist/Terrier mix. She is almost 14 lbs of love and she adores human contact. She is crate trained and about 95% potty trained, pending her level of excitement. She is super interested in playing with and meeting other dogs and she has great energy with dogs, never too aggressive. She hasn't been around children yet, and being super friendly and high energy, I am sure she will be a good match. She isn't afraid to give little puppy kisses to whoever she meets. She walks well on the leash and enjoys lots of long walks. She likes to sit down and stare at all the cars and people passing by on the busy street. She is very treat and food oriented so she should be very easy to train! She loves to play with toys and fetch balls and is not destructive but she is quite mischievous in the way that she collects shoes for fun! She likes to nip at things for attention and to be playful, but she responds well to 'No'. Mabrey loves to sit on your lap when you sit on the floor, and she loves to be held like the baby she is. She will tend to follow you around and sit on the floor where you stop, so you have to check your feet from time to time before you walk. She doesn't mind to be left alone for 4-6 hours but loves to go right outside when you get back, and then expect a tornado of excitement thereafter in celebration. She has a very sweet, curious, and spunky personality, ready for anything you throw at her. She is so deserving of a family who will shower her with love, because she will give it right back! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a 'teen' or adult dog. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.
