About Ms. Rooster

Rooster, here! Yes, I know, I know--despite my name, I am indeed a girl! I'm about 1-2 yrs old and weigh 54lbs presumed pit mix. I'm such a sweetheart who makes friends easily and like children- or at least most of them. I am a people-person and just want to please. I'm a wigglebutt for sure, and my tail rarely stops wagging. I am a bit stiff when meeting new dogs, but with some warm up time, I do okay. I love to snuggle up and take advantage of the heating pads--I mean humans--who sit with me. You are encouraged to make every effort to visit the shelter for a meet and greet. Staff available to assist. You can walk on the trails and interact in the play yards. Unless otherwise noted, we can not say if your dog does well with cats, livestock or chickens or with the dogs you may already have in your home or at dog parks. So please, if you have a dog, please arrange to bring for a meet and greet. Current vaccinations, spayed or neutered and micro chipped. Available at the Josephine County Animal Shelter 1420 Brookside Blvd. Grants Pass, across from the Grants Pass Airport. You are encouraged to call the shelter at 541 474-5458. When calling please press option 0. Hours open to the public 10 am - 4 pm every day except Sunday and posted holidays. Up to date on shots, spayed or neutered and micro chipped.
