About Tiger

Dachshund mix
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

Tiger 20lb female dachshund mix 10 years old If you're a doxie lover, then you will surely appreciate Little Miss Tiger. Despite having sat in a shelter for a month, she waltzed right into her foster home like she owned it. She has stayed overnight at another house or two, and owned them. She is not shy, but she is not needy. If you want a lap dog, she will love being on your lap, or at least next to you. If you just want a buddy to follow you around the house, she will be that too. When you pick her up to put her in your lap, she will push her head into your shoulder and gaze up at you with love. She can lay around all day and never get antsy. She is The Queen however, and if there are other dogs in the house they MUST be her subjects and she will insist they be submissive. So best not to have another dominant dog, or realize that they will have to figure out their places with each other with your help. She currently lives with a 40lb submissive lab, and after she showed him who was boss, they do fine together. She is good with kids and enjoys the cats. She loves to go on walks, and is in great shape to do so. True to her breed, she barks when she hears someone coming out of or into the house. And she will bark ferociously at moving vehicles and struggle maniacally to break free and chase them, so having a good hold on her outside at all times is important, unless there's a fence. She is housebroken and stands at the door to be let out. If you're looking for a conveniently small but durable love bug, you must consider Miss Tiger!
