About Matilda

If you need more info please email. We only have volunteers and are unable to answer general adoption questions/questions about a dog over the phone. 'Matilda spent her early life with a human who had no permanent shelter, so she's very nervous when she's alone because humans were the only constants in her life. This dependence also makes her VERY affectionate and eager to please. She coos to get your attention, and squirms in your arms when she has it. She has never met a stranger. She loves playing with other smaller dogs, but has not been tested around cats. Matilda is 2 to 3 years, nine pounds, spayed, microchipped and UTD on shots. She has a wiry, schnauzer-like coat and doesn't seem to shed much. She sleeps all night in a crate and is working on house training. Because she's not used to having a home, she will need a fenced yard (that can hold a little dog securely) to keep her safe. She walks on a leash and travels in a car beautifully - just happy to be with humans. She will make a wonderful companion - especially if she is not left alone for long stretches that might scare her. She can't wait to meet you!' Adoption fee is $125.00.
