About Ziggy

Domestic Cat
Age: Young Kitten
Sex: Male

Ziggy is an 8-week-old domestic short haired little boy that weighs all of 2 lbs. We rescued Ziggy from a high traffic area of Miami-Dade County where we found him hiding in bushes and meowing for help. We could not turn a blind eye or deaf ear to him, so we've made him an honorary Cocker Spaniel :-). We have since vaccinated and neutered him - all that Ziggy needs is a forever home. Ziggy is feline leukemia negative but has tested positive for FIV- this may be the result of contact with his mother so he will need to be retested (at the rescues expense) in 4 months. FIV positive cats typically live to a ripe old age as long as they are kept indoors and properly attended to like any other cat- it is not a death sentence as this is a misconception.
