About JOEY-BOWIE

Joey-Bowie is a very handsome, 3 to 4 yr old, 80 lb. Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever & Border Collie mix. (he has a very fluffy tail & blonde freckles on his nose). A sweet & loving boy who loves to go for walks, and enjoys cuddling. Joey-Bowie loves children and is very good around them, even ones who are quite young. Joey-Bowie can be a slow 'warm' to strangers which is most notable while on a leash, especially at night ((his hair may raise and he might emit a low growl), so allowing him slow introductions and the required decompression time is necessary. However, he has been off leash at gatherings and been completely fine meeting & greeting people. Joey-Bowie's best canine friend is a 10 lb. wire terrier female who he loves to play, gently wrestle with & snuggle. He enjoys the company of other dogs, but has a preference dogs of equally happy, gentle nature. Joey-Bowie has not been cat-tested. Joey-Bowie has been neutered, de-wormed, is current on vaccinations, on monthly heart worm preventative, crate-trained and house-trained. This rescue does not administer it's own vaccination shots. All of our rescued dogs' medical care has been administered by a licensed Veterinarian. All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., pro-biotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
