About Tilly

Tilly is a cute little girl who came from SC to CT with her mom. At about 6 months, she weighs only about 8-9 lbs and we don't anticipate her being more than 20 lbs or so. It is still a great big world for our Tilly girl which can be scary for her, but with love, patience, and consistantcy in her training her confidence will come out. She has already made huge strides at her foster home and has begun to chase and play with her 2 foster sisters (2 & 4 yr old dogs) and gets giddy and excited in the evening for play time. Tilly will do best in a home with another dog to help give her confidence. She is absolutely fantastic in her crate, super quiet, and doing great with potty and leash training. She has been introduced to the vacuum and though the initial sounds scares her, her foster mom holds her and Tilly eases into it just being a chore that happens from time to time. She has met children and while she can do good in a home with them, she will do best in a calmer home without toddler energy as that can be very overwhelming for her. Treats and a warm cuddly quiet place to hide is the way to this girl's heart. She is cautious of the world around her so her crate is a very safe place for her right now, but she is also inquisitive and always keepig tabs on where others are. If you've always wanted to be someone who rescues a dogs where the work you put in helps shape who they are and really makes them into the dog they can be, Tilly is a perfect example of a dog that needs that type of nuturing adopter. She won't be the most social pup who instantly knows how to be a dog, but we promise you the time you put into this girl will be forever rewarding and worth it!!
