About Annabelle

Adoption Fee: 150
Treeing Walker Coonhound
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet sweet Annabelle! 66# female young adult hound (likely Treeing Walker Coonhound or Foxhound) that was dumped on a farm in August. She could no longer stay there, so was taken to a foster home in mid-October. She was initially very timid, but has improved significantly with time and patience. Annabelle went to the vet on 10/22/19 and is now up to date with vaccinations. The vet thinks she is a young adult, probably around 3 years old. He was unsure if she has been spayed but thinks it is likely since she was an outdoor stray and has not been previously pregnant. Unfortunately Annabelle was found to be heartworm positive, but she has been started on treatment, and foster can provide the remainder of the treatment course. Annabelle loves playing with other dogs. She is timid with strangers at first, but warms up with time and patience. Initially she would not enter the foster's house, but now comes in willingly and likes to cuddle. She is quiet and non destructive. I doubt she was previously kept indoors, but she comes inside when it is cold and she sleeps inside each night; no accidents in the house yet! Really neat dog, food motivated and likes training. Would keep her in a second if I had more room for her to run.
