Libby is a 5-year-old rat terrier weighing 18 pounds that was rescued last summer. She was dumped in the country and was not in good shape. She was very wormy, thin, obvious someone had been 'puppy milling' her and she was heartworm positive. She was not microchip and there was no collar or tags. She was so traumatized from the abandonment and previous maltreatment, it took two days to trap her! Even with all this horror in her life, she has proven to be wonderful dog! She is perfectly house trained. She was quarantined in a horse trailer for a bit, and she would only potty outside, but will potty on leash very reliably, also. Currently she lives in a heated/air-conditioned garage with a basenji/whippet cross female and does very well. She sits up and begs on command. She does not get along at all with cats and gets on very well with a Whippet mix and walks well with her on leash walks. She needs a chance to be someone's companion, because she is so great with adults and children. She's also a really good car rider!. Libby has been spayed, vaccinations up to date, heartworm treated and microchipped. If interested, please call Carrie at 210-380-1982 or email at [email protected]
