About URGENT - JOHN WAYNE

Boxer / Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

#A5317936 John Wayne is an adorable smiley 2-year-old pumpkin and white neutered male Pit Bull and Boxer mix who came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center as a stray on September 11th and now transferred to Carson Animal Care Center. John Wayne was living his life on the road with a truck driver. The man had found him on his journey from Tennessee to California. He felt he couldn't keep him and left him at a business with a bag of dog food. Weighing 52 lbs, John Wayne has a big goofy grin and is a happy-go-lucky guy. His ribs are showing a bit too much and we think he needs to gain 5 or more pounds to look and feel his best. John Wayne already knows sit and we think he will be easy to train because he's focused and food motivated. He pulls a bit on leash, but will improve with practice. We think he might enjoy a home with older kids/teens who can exercise, play, and train with him. Although he's non reactive to big dogs, any dogs in the home are required to be calm. With freckles on his nose and a perky attitude, John Wayne will be a cute new buddy for anyone who wants a dog to love and snuggle.
