Meet Annie! This pretty girl is still a puppy - her first birthday is coming up in a couple days! For a birthday present, we'd love to find Annie a new home where she can thrive and become the best she can be. Her owner realizes that she's not able to give Annie what she needs, and has asked us to help place her. We have been told that Annie is very good with people - she can sometimes be a little shy at first due to a lack of proper socialization during her formative months. She loves car rides - was great on a recent road trip - and is house trained. She's had some obedience, and would benefit from a class where she can learn more. While she's been around her owner's grandchildren, we require a home with no small children. We understand that Annie is NOT good with other dogs, and has shown some aggressive behavior around livestock as well, so she needs to be in a home without these triggers. We recommend the CARE protocol for working with reactive dogs like Annie. http://careforreactivedogs.com/ Annie needs an experienced Rottweiler owner who understands behavior and drives, and who is willing to work with her to build trust and provide structure and consistency around boundaries. She has her whole life ahead of her and will flourish with someone who can provide the love and guidance she needs.
