Hi, my name is Henry, can you believe that I was in a shelter for about a YEAR?! When my transport to Colorado arrived, everyone at the shelter turned out to say goodbye. I'm sweet but high energy. I can be very mouthy and rough when I play, so a family with no young kids and experienced with cattle dogs will be my best fit. But I am oh so gentle taking treats! I love playing with other dogs, all of them! But because I can be crazy, I need lots of socializing. I know my name and how to sit, but still working on other commands. I'm kind of reluctant to go in my crate, but do well as long as I don't feel left out. Otherwise, I get vocal. At night though, I do great! My foster is helping me learn to house train; they think sometimes my accidents stem from pure excitement. I'm curious and love exploring, but need supervision when I'm loose until I learn that counter surfing is not okay (I'll steal food in a heartbeat if it's unattended, even if it's right under your nose!). I pull really hard on the leash and I might run off if I slip it, but I know with love and patience, I can change my crazy habits and be an awesome dog! I'd love to have an active family to take me to the mountains and outside and give me lots of love! I can't wait to meet you!
