About Bella

Bella is a 9 month old spayed female, Border Collie mix. She weighs 35 pounds. Bella is house and crate trained. However, she doesn't enjoy her crate time for extended periods. She does sleep in her crate all night, but she is early to rise. Bella needs a loving home with a fenced yard, where she can have lots of playtime and enjoy activities with her family. Bella would not do well in a home where she had to be crated more than 2 hours, except on rare occasions or at night. She is used to a stay-at-home mom. Bella is on a on a monthly heart worm and flea preventative and is up-to-date on her shots. She plays well with most dogs, but she does tend to have a somewhat dominant personality. Bella is a very loving pet, but she is sometimes guarded with strangers. However, she is still learning more social skills as an older puppy. She has not been tested with children, and sometimes Border Collies herd small children. Bella should be fed separately. We will require good pet references and a history of vet care. Bella's hair is very shiny and soft. We are only rehoming her due to our extended health issues. Bella was purchased from a breeder as a puppy. (We will donate half of her fee to Rescue Me.)
