About Boone

Foxhound mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Boone! f you're looking for a happy hound to enrich your life than look no further than Boone. A transplant from Tennessee, Boone is absolutely loving autumn in Illinois and loves to spend time outside and especially loves going for lots of walks with his person. He is even happy to trot along as you run or rollerblade. He quickly learned to walk alongside his foster with minimal pulling and is easily corrected; stopping momentarily for the occasional tree potty break. He's open to getting a new name as he does not really seem to recognize or respond to Boone. Boone is a big boy weighing about 60 pounds and is estimated to be about 4-5 years young. He has a gentle, easy going temperament, likes people and is ambivalent towards other dogs. They do their thing, he does his. He seems housebroken and has had no accidents in his foster home.. Boone is a great dog and is looking for the right fit person/family to share his next chapter with. Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Please consider becoming a foster home while you search for your new best friend. We need foster homes - pounds are overflowing with puppies and adult dogs that are at-risk and need help. We can only rescue as many as we have foster home commitments. Fostering is a rewarding experience for your family.
