HISTORY: This dog came to his original rescue; HART after suffering a very sad ordeal: his young owner died from cancer, and her mother couldn't care for him properly because she was caring fora relative with Alzheimer's. That relative, started - not maliciously - mistreating little Prince Jim (PJ). So, PJ stayed locked away in a basement except for a couple hours each day. He spent so much time in the basement, that a ramp had been made for him so he could at least look out the window. He was eventually given up and placed with a foster. However, that person developed severe onset of dementia from Parkinson's, and the dog was found locked in her car. PJ has had enough trauma, so a decision was made to place him with a strong, foster-based rescue in the MD/PA area: MID ATLANTIC JACK RESCUE. HEALTH - 7 years old - Neutered -18 lbs. - Up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm, tick, and flea med - Heartworm negative - Low key for a dog that's part Jack Russell - Feels safe in his crate; will straighten out blanket - flat - and then roll up in it - he loved burrowing in blankets, a great snoozer, great car rider. Housebroken - Good with other dogs & people - Very smart, intuitive dog - Jim was at HART for a year. He's not the most 'handsome dog, but loyal and absolutely heartbroken about his owner dying.
